The Exe Valley Market Bus has started up again following the pandemic

Letters and associated passenger permissions sheets have been delivered to everyone on the contact list held by the Bus committee and we have attached them here (letter) and (permissions) for anyone else who would like to use the service.

Unfortunately the Exe Valley Market Bus website is not working at the moment but timetables can be found here, as well as on the noticeboards around the village and for further information and bookings please ring Colin on 01884 881351 or Malcolm on 01398 351694.

The Bus Committee are always looking for new volunteer drivers so if you have half a day to spare once a month or so and would like to help with this service which runs through the villages from Oakford to Tiverton, via Washfield, each Tuesday and Friday morning and back again at lunch time, we would be very glad to hear from you.  Phone numbers as above.

The Exe Valley Market Bus has been providing a scheduled service from Oakford to Tiverton via Stoodleigh, Washfield, Loxbeare, Lurley and Calverleigh on Tuesdays and Fridays since 1977!  For all those years it has been driven by volunteeers from the local area and run by a voluntary committee.

It now also runs fortnightly services to South Molton and Barnstaple from Oakford via Roachill and Knowstone.

In addition regular outings are arranged on the 1st Wednesday of each month, and some 3rd Wednesdays, to an annually arranged programme of venues.

It can also be booked, complete with a volunteer driver, for private hire by anyone in the community and is used regularly by local community organisations for trips.
