Let's Talk Mid Devon

A new residents’ survey is now open and Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) are encouraging you all to take part, to share your views and priorities for your council.

The survey is open throughout November and the results will feed into MDDC budget setting process, as well as the Council’s future plans for prioritising services.

This year questions include topics such as climate change and economic recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as listening to how communities feel about current MDDC service provision and where they can improve.

Full details and how to respond can be found at Let's Talk Mid Devon .

Inter Pub Quiz

The Stoodleigh Inn team entered the Inter Pub Quiz on Thursday 14 October and did the village proud. The Stoodleigh team not only raised £180 for Exmoor Rotary to support the Calvert Trust (Exmoor) but also came 4th out of the 7 local pub teams who entered. Well done!  Lizzie says ...... "The result was very tight with only around half a dozen points or so between all the pubs. Thanks to everybody".

Stoodleigh Community Help Network: Update

Over the last year or so and during the coronavirus pandemic several residents in our parish volunteered to support their neighbours by helping with everyday necessities. Our community is great at offering help to one another under normal circumstances so the group were able to provide an extra back-up.

The group offering their support to people in the community will continue to be available should residents need help at particular times with necessities like shopping and collecting prescriptions, etc.

Stoodleigh residents, please remember, if you need some help, or know someone in our parish who might need some support, please let us know.

You can email stoodleighweb@gmail.com and we will do our best to put you in touch with one of our volunteers.
