Minutes of Finance Meeting held at 6.45pm on the 28th May in the Village Hall

 

Members present -: Chairman Cllr W Knowles   Vice Chair Cllr J Widdowson  Cllr J Mansfield   Cllr D Wotton  Cllr R Wotton

 

1. Apologies – received from Cllr C Payne and Cllr G Parkman

2. Declarations of Interest – none declared

3. Finance – the auditor’s report had previously been circulated for comment. Cllr Widdowson had queried the apparently small VAT figure in the accounts which is repaid annually under VAT 126 conditions. The Clerk confirmed that £1318.26 had been reclaimed and credited on the 7th May for 2024/25.

The HMRC payment for the clerk’s salary now incurs and additional charge of £4.95 for NIC.

4. The accounts for 2024/5 were approved and signed.

b) The Exemption certificate for small councils under the £25,000 annual threshold was approved and signed

c) Section 1 of the Annual Governance Statement was approved and signed

d) Section 2 of the Annual Governance Statement was approved and signed

e) Statement of Internal Control was duly completed and signed

f) Notice of the period for the exercise of public rights was agreed
