Councillors: you are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of Oakford Parish Council, to be held in the Committee Room at Oakford Village Hall at 7.30pm on Monday 10th February 2025 for the purpose of transacting the following business.     

Members of the public and press are invited to attend the meeting.

AGENDA

To receive apologies for absence.

Declarations of Interest:

In accordance with the Code of Conduct, members are required to declare any personal or disclosable pecuniary interests, in items to be considered at this meeting. 

Public Forum:

an opportunity for members of the public to make representations, answer questions and give evidence in respect of any item of business on the agenda, or any matter of interest to the parish. No member of the public will speak for more than 3 minutes. The period of time designated for public participation shall not exceed 15 minutes.

To agree the minutes of the meeting held on 13th January 2025 as an accurate record of the meeting.

Planning

a) To comment on any planning applications received before the meeting. No applications received when the agenda was published.

b) To note any planning decisions made by MDDC. No decisions received when the agenda was published.

c) Update on alleged planning breaches

d) Any other planning matters.

Highways:

a) Any matters to note or report.

b) To minute the placement of flexi verge markers on the Summers Bench verge.

c) Update on flooding issues/blocked drains

d) To discuss the condition of fingerpost signs in the parish and how they can be improved.

e) Any other highways matters

Footpaths:

a) Update on 2024-25 P3 funding

b) Update on the removal of the tree on Bridleway 5

c) Any other footpath matters

Reports:

County Cllr Report.

District Cllr Report.

Community Area:

a) Any points to note from inspections of community area.

b) To report the overhanging branches have been cut back and chipped onto the surface at the entrance to the Community Area and on the bridge.

c) To discuss the quotes for repairs to the bridge at the entrance to the community area

d) Update on the possibilities of creating a footpath from the Village Hall car park to the Community Area.

e) Any matters to note

Finance

a) To approve any invoices or expense claims presented for payment.

b) To note any receipts since the last meeting and the bank balance.

c) Bank reconciliation 31.01.25.

To review the Business Risk Management Document

To agree to adopt the new NALC Model Financial Regulations personalised for Oakford Parish Council.

To review the Policy Statement of Internal Control and Annual Review of Effectiveness of Internal Control 2024-25.

To discuss the updated MDDC Community Risk Register

Feedback from the 'Smaller Councils' Zoom meeting with DALC.
